- Click on the AdministrationMenu
and select Teacher Desk.
- If you are an administrator, click on the arrow in the Teacher
field and select the teacher whose grade book you wish to
access. If you are a teacher, your information should be displayed in
the Teacher Field.
- Double-click on the Course/Section
for which you are adding daily grades to open the Edit Daily Grades window.
- The program defaults to the current term as determined by your calendar and term setup. If the course does not actually meet for the current term, you will be asked if you want to enter grades for the course anyway. Once in the Daily Grades window, you can click in the Term field and
select the term for which you will be entering grades or creating assignments
- With the proper course and term selected, double-click on the Student name for whom you are entering grades.
- The program displays the list of Terms, Assignment Types and
Assignments the window. Grades are displayed in the next column and
any notes entered are displayed in the third column. Click in the
appropriate field and type the number of points received by this
student. Extra credit can be included. For example, if the value of
the assignment is 20 and the student received extra credit of 2
points, you can enter 22.
Note: Leaving a field blank does not penalize the student for not
turning in an assignment. That assignment is just not part of his/her
calculation. Entering a 0 penalizes the student for not completing an assignment.
- To Remove A Grade, click in
the appropriate field and backspace over the grade.
- To Add An Assignment, click
the Edit/View Assignments button to access the Assignment Information
window (see the section on Adding Assignments for step-by-step instructions).
- To Enter Notes On A Student: Click
on the Term Name and then click the Student Notes button.
- To Enter Notes On A Student's Assignment:
Click on the assignment and then click on the Assignment Notes button.
- Click Spell Check to check the spelling of your note. If errors are found, you will be given the chance to Change, Add to Dictionary, or Ignore
- To enter grades for another student, use Previous and Next.
- To Print the Data In This Window,
click View Text.
