Recalculate Grades

This option is located on the Grade Book - Configure Course Information window. Recalculate is used when you have changed the semester and final grade calculations for a course in your grade book. It can also be used if you want to force the program to recalculate term averages based on daily grades.

To use the recalculate option:

  1. Click on the AdministrationMenu and select Grade Book.
  2. From the Grade Book Menu select Configure Course Information.
  3. If you are an administrator, click on the arrow in the Teacher field and select the teacher whose grade book you wish to access. If you are a teacher, your information should be displayed in the Configure Course Information window.
  4. Click on the course for which you are recalculating grades.
  5. At the bottom of the window, click the Recalculate button.
  6. The program warns you that it will recalculate Semester and Final Grades for the selected course. Click Yes to continue.
  7. Note: Any Term, Semester or Final grades that have been overridden or entered by hand will not be recalculated. These grades would have the Auto Calc option turned off and are not eligible to be recalculated.
