Update Grade Book Demographics

When Teacher Grade Books are created the program copies student, teacher and course names into the grade book database. This data is stored in the grade book database to be used when teachers create portable disks for their grade books. If a user later changes the name of a student, a teacher or a course, that information is not carried over to corresponding grade book records. This tool allows you to update the demographic information stored in the grade book.

Note: This option will not add or remove students from courses, nor will it add new classes for teachers.

  1. Click on the Tools Menu and select Global.
  2. Click on the Global Menu and select Grade Book.
  3. From the Grade Book Menu select Update Demographic Data.
  4. In the window displayed, check off the data that needs to be updated (Course Info, Teacher Info and/or Student Info).
  5. Click OK to begin updating.
