Add Type - Setup

Types allow a second layer of grouping or categorizing within the lists of disciplinary information. For example, you may have already grouped your infractions by properties such as bullying, and property damage, but you may need another way to organize the data. Within bullying there may be violent and non-violent infractions. Within property damage there may be major and minor infractions. Creating types allows you to break the data down even more for reporting purposes.

Steps

1. Click on the Setup Menu and select Discipline.
2. The program displays the Discipline Information window.
3. Click on the Type Tab to select it.
4. Click on the Add button to display the Add Type window.
5. Click on the Description field and type the name of the Type (i.e. Violent or Non-Violent).
6. Click in the Association field and select the kind of data to which this type should be linked. Options include Infraction, Action Taken, Weapon and Suspension/Detention. If you need this type for more than one kind of data you must add the property multiple times.
7. Click OK to save and display the new item on the Discipline Information window.
