Add Special Ed Types - Setup

Special Education regulations limit the number of days that certain students can be suspended. There may also be additional local and state considerations when applying discipline to some students. This window allows you to create a list of special education categories that can be associated with students who must have different discipline treatment. Due to confidentiality issues your school may choose not to use this option or may choose to call the categories something like “Limited Suspension”.

1. Click on the Setup Menu and select Discipline.
2. The program displays the Discipline Information window.
3. Click on the Special Ed Tab to select it.
4. Click on the Add button to display the Add Special Ed window.
5. Click on the Special Ed field and type the name of the Special Ed.
6. Click OK to save and display the new item on the Discipline Information window.
