Elementary Grades - Using the Edit Grades Window

  1. Click on the Administration Menu and select Elementary Grades.
  2. From the Elementary Grades Menu select Edit Grades.
  3. If you are an administrator, click on the arrow in the Teacher field and select the teacher whose grade book you wish to access. If you are a teacher, your information should be displayed in the Teacher Field.
  4. Click in the Term field and select the appropriate Term.
  5. Click in the Course field and select the Course/Section for which you are adding grades. You can also select All Courses to see all courses that you teach to the selected student.
  6. Click in the Student field and select the student to be displayed.
  7. To Add A Grade, click in the appropriate field and type the grade. Press Enter to go down to the next field.
  8. To View A List Of Valid Grades, click the Grade Legend button. On the Grade Legend window select the appropriate legend.
  9. To Remove A Grade, click in the appropriate field and back-space over the grade.
  10. To Enter Notes, click the Term Notes button. If notes already exist, an asterisk (*) is displayed on the button. Some report card types only print term notes. 12. To Use Canned Comments, type the appropriate comment number in the cid column. The comment list can be viewed/printed by clicking View Comments.
  13. To Print Data, click on the View Text button. All data shown on the screen is displayed in a text viewer. Click File-Print to print this out.
  14. To Add A Skill, make sure only one course is selected. Then, click the Edit/View Skills button to access the Skills Information window (see the section on Adding Skills for step-by-step instructions).
  15. To View Another Student, use the Previous and Next buttons to scroll from student to student alphabetically or click in the student field and select a student from the list.
