Note: If you build your master schedule by hand and type it into the program or if you are re-using an existing master schedule, you do not need to enter Room Resources.
Room Resources are lists of rooms from which the Master Schedule Builder can choose when building the master schedule. For example, you could have a Room Resource called Eng (for your English Department) that contains rooms 101, 102, and 103. You would then assign Eng as a room resource to English 110 section 1. When the schedule is built the program could choose any of the three rooms for English 110 section 1.
If you wish to control the room to which a course is assigned, only put one room in each resource. For example, you would create a room resource called 101 that contained only one room called 101. When the program builds the master schedule it has no choice except room 101.
Rooms can exist in more than one Room Resource.
