Calendar Name |
Descriptive name for the calendar. This name is displayed when assigning students and/or personnel to a calendar for attendance purposes. If no calendars have been created, this area will be empty. |
Start |
Displays the starting dates for the calendar(s). Note: The starting date or first day of school cannot be modified once it has been saved. The last day of school can be extended only. |
End |
Displays the ending dates for the calendar(s). |
Terms |
Displays the number of terms configured for the calendar(s). |
Add |
Opens the Add Calendar Information window. This option allows you to modifycreate a new calendar for the year you are working in |
Modify |
Opens the Add/Modify Calendar window for the calendar you have clicked on. This option allows you to add days to the end of a calendar, change day values, modify terms, and perform other calendar configuration functions. |
Delete |
Deletes the calendar you have clicked on. You are prompted to make sure you really want to delete the calendar. |
Day Config |
Opens the Day Config window. This option allows you to create day types and assign values. The Add button allows you to add a day type, such as snow day or teacher workshop day, then assign either a title or icon to display on the calendar.Note: Full Day, Half Day, and Not in Session may not be modified. |
Copy From |
Allows you to select a calendar to copy to a new name. |
View Text |
Allows you to view the calendar information by day number, day, and date. Term information displays at the end, along with any notes entered for days. To print this calendar view from the editor, click File>Print. |
Advanced |
Opens the Calendar Advanced Options window. This option allows you to assign day values to specified days across the range in one or more calendars. For example, schools with kindergartens that are only in session Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, could select all Tuesdays and Thursdays in the range and assign a value of 0. |
