Field Definition

Date

Date for which you are recording attendance.

Sort By
Allows you to select the sort order used to display students. Students can be displayed in order by:

System ID

Name

Homeroom

Year of Graduation

Attendance Category

Homeroom and System ID

Homeroom and Name

Homeroom and Attendance Category

YOG and System ID

YOG and Name

YOG and Attendance Category

Attendance Category and System ID

Attendance Category and Name

Attendance Category and Homeroom

Attendance Category and YOG

Search By Allows you to select the group of students to be displayed. Options include All Students, System ID (one student), Name, Homeroom, Year of Graduation, Course/Section or Attendance Category.

Value Allows you to enter a value for a search. For example, if you select Search By Homeroom, you must enter the appropriate Homeroom in the Value field.

Get List Gets the list of students based on the Sort, Search and Value options selected.

Student ID System generated sstudent ID number. Cannot be edited by the user.

Name Student's name.

Homeroom Indicated the homeroom to which the student is assigned.

Year of Graduation Student's year of graduation from high school.

Attnd

Category to which the student has been assigned, such as Present or Absent or Tardy.

Color

To the right of the attendance category a color may be displayed as an additional visual cue to the student's status. Colors are associated with attendance categories under Setup-Attendance-Categories.

Times

Displays one or more times associated with a particular student's attendance category. For example, if the student is Tardy, this would indicate the time the student entered school. If a student is Dismissed, this would indicate the time the student is permitted to leave school.

Reason

Displays a reason associated with a particular student's attendance category. For example, if the student is Tardy, this would indicate why the student is Tardy. If a student is Dismissed, this would indicate why the student is permitted to leave school, such as an appointment with a doctor.

Previous Date Alows you to scroll to the next day's attendance.

Next Date Allows you to scroll to the previous day's attendance.

Notify Sends a message to the office that attendance has been taken. Typically used by teachers doing homeroom attendance.
