The Student Search window is used to locate either one student or a series of students based on Name, System ID, Year of Graduation, Homeroom, State ID, District ID, Inactive or Guardian Name. The Advanced button allows you to do a more detailed search. Students selected by the search remain displayed in the Search window until that window is closed. If you are editing a large group of students, you can close the Student Information Window and select a new student to edit from the list in the Search Window. Newly added students would not be displayed in the list until you click Get List again.
Inactive students are not displayed unless their ID number is specifically selected or Inactive is selected in the Search By field. In addition, you may click the Include Inactive Students box at the bottom of the window. Note that you can filter inactive students out of the display list using the Advanced Search option.
Lists of students can be printed directly from the Search Window. Use the search fields to display the appropriate group of students. Click on the column headings to sort the students by the data field of your choice. Click on the View Text button to display the list in a text editor. From the editor select File-Print to print the list as it appears on the screen.
The displayed list of students in the window may be further filtered by using Filter By Field. Type a string of characters and only students containing that string of data will remain in the display.
If you have configured sub-categories to have specific colors, students assigned those sub-categories will display with the colored box to the right of their name when you click the Show Categories button.
