Most schools assign students either to a teacher (for elementary schools) or a Homeroom (for middle and high schools). Homerooms can be associated with teachers on the Personnel Information Window - Homeroom Tab. Using the Assign Global Data - List of Homerooms tool, you can assign students to selected homerooms either randomly or alphabetically. All students in the school may be assigned at once to the selected list of homerooms, or students may be assigned by year of graduation, gender, or a sub-category
If you are assigning all homerooms, make sure all the homerooms in the list are valid. Unwanted homerooms that are not linked to any students or personnel may be deleted under Setup - Homerooms.
Be sure you have enough homerooms and seating for the number of students you are assigning.
