- Click on the AdministrationMenu
and select Courses to
display the CourseSearch
Window.
- Either Search for a course
and click the Modify button
or click the Add button at
the top of the window to display the CourseInformation
Window.
- If you are modifying an existing Course, the ID, Number, Name and
Department fields should be completed. If you are adding a new
course, be sure to complete the top half of the window before
entering data in the Tabs. (See Add A Course.)
- Click on the Calculation Info Tab
to select it.
- Click in the Course Credit
field and type the number of credits awarded for a passing grade in
this course.
- Click in the Credit Per Grading Period field and enter the portion of
the Course Credit that is earned after each grading period.
Note: No credit is ever awarded based on the Credit Per Grading
Period field. It is used as a multiplier for Honor Roll averages,
Term GPAs and Term Averages.
- Click on the drop-down arrow in the Track
field and select the appropriate track for this course. If your
school does not use track weighting select Track 1. Each track has a
user configured value associated with it. This value is either
multiplied by or added to the value of the grade received for this
course when GPA's are calculated.
If grades for this course should be included in Honor Roll
calculations, click the Include In
Honor Roll check box and mark it with a check mark.
If grades for this course should be included in GPA/QPA calculations,
click the Include In GPA/QPA
check box and mark it with a check mark.
Note: If you select Include in GPA/QPA but do not select Include in
Transcript, this course will not be included in GPA and will not be sent forward into future years to be used in cumulative GPA. GPA for past years is
calculated using the data in the Transcript file.
If this course should be included in Transcripts, click the Include
In Transcript check box and mark it with a check mark.
- Click in the Notes field and
type any additional information about this course you would like to keep.
- When you have finished entering information in the Calculation
Info Tab, you can move on to another Tab and continue
entering information or click on OK
to close the window and save your changes.
